Standard Carbon Inc., a Canadian leader in climate accounting and greenhouse gas (GHG) verification, is proud to announce its acceptance into the RBC FinSec Incubator at Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst, Toronto Metropolitan University. Standard Carbon is one of only six companies selected nationwide, and the only company from the Prairie provinces chosen to participate in this highly competitive program.
The RBC FinSec Incubator brings together Canada’s most promising fintech innovators to strengthen cybersecurity, accelerate product development, and drive adoption in regulated financial markets. Through the program, Standard Carbon will further enhance the security, resilience, and scalability of its flagship platform, SCOP3™, an AI-powered environmental accounting system designed to generate audit-ready emissions data directly from financial records.
As financial institutions face increasing regulatory pressure to measure and disclose climate risk, including requirements aligned with IFRS S2, ISSB, and OSFI B-15, Standard Carbon is positioned at the intersection of finance, technology, and sustainability. Participation in the FinSec Incubator will enable the company to deepen its integration into financial systems while ensuring its platform meets the highest standards of cybersecurity and data integrity.
“We’re incredibly excited to join the RBC FinSec Incubator and collaborate with some of Canada’s top fintech innovators,” said Justin Phillips, COO & Co-Founder of Standard Carbon. “Being selected as one of six companies nationally, and the only Prairie-based company, proves that world-class fintech innovation isn’t limited to larger metropolitan centers. There’s a strong, growing finance and technology ecosystem in Manitoba, and we’re proud to represent it while meeting the rising demand for audit-grade climate data in financial systems.”
Standard Carbon’s inclusion in the program underscores its leadership in building infrastructure that enables businesses, banks, and supply chains to produce credible, verifiable emissions disclosures. By embedding carbon data directly into accounting workflows, SCOP3™ allows organizations to meet compliance requirements while improving transparency and decision-making.
The RBC FinSec Incubator will provide Standard Carbon with access to a national network of fintech leaders, cybersecurity expertise, and strategic mentorship, supporting the company’s continued growth and expansion into regulated financial markets.
